KATZ Radio – the purr-fect mix of Current & Classic Music across the Ft. Worth/Dallas Metroplex, and farther out!
Music is recorded live from choirs, orchestras, Praise & Worship teams, and congregational singing! KATZ Radio is a virtual tour of churches!
Rare, archived programs and church albums going back to the 1960s are also included, as well as Classic-Christian radio hits from the 1970s through the 1990s - hits rarely played on the radio anymore. Both Southern Gospel & Contemporary Christian exist together on KATZ!
No other station has this library except for KATZ radio.
KATZ Radio accepts music submissions! Having worked in the recording studio/producing end, KATZ realizes how hard it is to get airplay, and wants to give some of these singers and bands a fighting chance! Also- does KATZ have music from your church yet? This can include professionally produced CDs as well as the music recorded live in your services! (We cover all the licensing fees for radio.) Remember: some people may be new to the area and are looking for a new church home. They may connect with the music and then want to visit your church in person.

Radio Broadcast Meteorologist Cami Bradley brings brief weather forecasts several times per hour. Additionally, KATZ has invested in the EAS system (Emergency Alert System, from the National Weather Service Office), and any weather watches or warnings for Tarrant, Dallas, and surrounding counties will be brought to you immediately, 24 hours a day. You can relax and enjoy listening to your favorite churches or programs knowing that the weather ‘tones’ will interrupt programming, give you the bulletin, and then return to the music! Not every station has this feature, but it is very important since the Ft. Worth/Dallas Metroplex is located in Tornado Alley.
Special Programs KATZ is so excited to have:
“Rise & Shine” with host Katrina Bills, Memphis, TN - Katrina shares a very brief scripture & devotion at 7, 10 & 11am Central Time. Shorter than the length of a song, and really gets you ready for the day!“More Than A Word” with host Dawn Gwin, central TX - Dawn shares music, stories, brief interviews & stories in a 15-minute timeframe at noon each day. Although intended for an audience of any age, I always envision a group of kids sitting on the floor hanging on her every word! (My mother had the #1 Children’s television show in the SW states back in the 1950s, so I am a fairly good judge!)
“The Sagamore Hill Series” – Thanks to Bill Swank & Susan Knight Popham, KATZ Radio has complete worship services from one of the most iconic churches in Ft. Worth – Sagamore Hill Baptist. These services span across the 1960s – 1990s, & include messages from Dr. W. Fred Swank, lead-pastor for 43 years, as well as Jack Graham (now at Prestonwood in Dallas), as well as many others. Broadcast times: 10am & 7pm Central time daily.
“Come Praise The Lord” with John Roberts & Cami Bradley – airs live on 1630 AM KKGM in Dallas each Sunday at 2pm, but the archived programs of 4 1/2 years are aired on KATZ in Ft. Worth each day at 8am & 8pm Central time. The radio program premiered in February 2015. You can read more about John & Cami here:

Coming Soon: A very special archived television program from the vault of WBAP-TV (now NBC-KXAS), from the 1950s-1960s. (KATZ will use the audio portion! No one else has this program on radio or TV now.)
Future goal: Find an AM or FM signal for KATZ. For now, we are internet-only. The engineers can quickly add KATZ to an AM or FM station, if one is found. Hopefully there is an owner out there, thinking of getting out, but will be open to one last format change for his station and will give KATZ a try. Our Christian Radio format is very unique – no one else has this in the metroplex.
